Each year Spicewood works to become a No Place for Hate school: a school promoting a peaceful, safe environment where students deeply care about one another. In order to become a No Place for Hate school, Spicewood must accomplish a wide variety of tasks including having all students and staff sign and agree to the Resolution of Respect and completing three school-wide projects promoting peace.
The No Place for Hate Coalition is made up of dedicated 5th graders who meet weekly. Together, the Coalition brainstorms, designs, and promotes all of these projects in order for our school to proudly be titled a No Place for Hate school. This club is sponsored by our counselor, Mrs. Kentopp.
